This is a summer only appointment. The Graduate School student assistant will serve as support to the Dean's Office by providing customer service to applicants, current students and department visitors. The student assistant will process transcripts and other application materials as well as help troubleshoot application issues for applicants. This position may serve as the primary reception at times.
Student Assistant - E-Tech Web Development - 523968
The Student Assistant supports the production of website developed through the College of Arts and Sciences, Office of Educational Technology (E-Tech). Works with others for graphic design and server support.
Al's Pals Site Supervisor - 523754
The Al's Pals Site Supervisor supervises University of Alabama mentors and student leaders at a Tuscaloosa City or County elementary school site. Assists the Al's Pals Coordinator with leadership development for students participating in the Al's Pals program.
Marketing Student Assistant - Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute - 523917
The Marketing Student Assistant assists EDGE with a variety of marketing tasks. Creates and implements communication strategies on social media, digital signage, press releases, and campus publications. Researches and proposes new, creative, and innovative ideas for AEI/EDGE marketing and branding of events. Creates timelines for marketing events including tangible goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics. Designs flyers and other promotional materials using Canva software or other design programs. Assists with events. Additional duties as assigned. The outreach efforts should be in accordance to the University of Alabama social media policy and guidelines and the student will also be tasked with assisting during events.

Summer Resident Advisor (RA) - Housing and Residential Communities - 523894
The Summer Resident Advisor (RA) will be part of a diverse and energetic team in the department of Housing and Residential Communities. The RA will serve an integral role in guest relations, customer service, summer operations, facilities management, and administrative tasks for a diverse group of attendees as well as new freshman orientation and summer school. Event Assistant - Greek Assembly Hall - 522631
The Event Assistant works alongside the Greek Assembly Hall Building Manager to ensure that events are set up and ready to meet client’s expectations. Sets up and takes down tables and chairs based off the daily event sheet/calendar. Places tablecloths on tables. Provides customer service to students, clients, and visitors at the Greek Assembly Hall information desk. Answers questions via telephone and in person. Collects, logs, and stores lost and found items properly in the office. Maintains cleanliness and upholds standards. Communicates with housekeeping, building managers, and professional staff. Learns Greek Assembly Hall policies, procedures, and operations of the facility. Learns Greek Assembly Hall rules and job expectations. Knowledge of the different room orientations and equipment available. Learns basic emergency procedures. Maintains proper appearance and attire to represent the Greek Assembly Hall. Remains engaged in the guest traffic and refrains from wearing earbuds/headphones to distract from assisting guests. Maintains composure and professionalism. Additional duties as assigned.

The Media Assistant keeps the Tuscaloosa Chevrolet website up to date with current photos of both new and pre-owned vehicles. Delivers vehicles to outside locations such as body shops. Assists with outside events such as gold tournaments.

Mover/Driver - Two Men and a Truck - 522548
The Mover/Driver provides exceptional customer service as they safely move, pack, and unpack customer’s belongings. Greets customer upon arrival at location. Makes a positive first impression (smile, handshake, positive attitude). Completes a walk-through of the premises. Works with a team of movers to load and unload moving truck. Completes paperwork and payment collection accurately. Drives and maneuvers box truck safely.

The Student Assistant assists the Associate Director in carrying out strategic marketing plans for the University Supply Store. Creates display ads. Posts events on University calendars. Undergraduate Student Assistant - Corner Supply Store - 522390
