The Student Assistant provides technical support for UA Online, ACCESS High School, and online professional development courses and programs. Works under the supervision of the UA Online Technical Support Team. Manages technical support tickets in an online helpdesk environment. Works in Blackboard, Google Drive, MS Office, and other computer platforms. Checks course inventory. Uploads and formats content in the learning management system. Student Assistant - Access Services - 524029
The Access Services Library Night Assistant will assist with closing duties Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm to 2:00am for 20 hours a week. Secures the library buildings at closing. Confirms that all student assistants are on duty. Assists with patrons at all library service desks. Assumes the role of the point person for any emergency situations with UAPD or UA facilities personnel in the absence of the Night Operations Manager. Rotates nights between Bruno, Gorgas, and Rodgers Libraries to assist with closing. Assists patrons with finding library materials. Checks in/out materials. Processes returned materials. Answers phones. Troubleshoots copier/printers. Shelves. Sorts carts. Assists with ILL processes as time permits. Conducts walk throughs of the building. Reports any issues or problems. Ensures the building is secure at closing and that all patrons have vacated the building. Determines if all lights are turned off. The Al's Pals Site Supervisor supervises University of Alabama mentors and student leaders at a Tuscaloosa City or County elementary school site. Assists the Al's Pals Coordinator with leadership development for students participating in the Al's Pals program.
Marketing Student Assistant - Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute - 523917
The Marketing Student Assistant assists EDGE with a variety of marketing tasks. Creates and implements communication strategies on social media, digital signage, press releases, and campus publications. Researches and proposes new, creative, and innovative ideas for AEI/EDGE marketing and branding of events. Creates timelines for marketing events including tangible goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics. Designs flyers and other promotional materials using Canva software or other design programs. The Summer Resident Advisor (RA) will be part of a diverse and energetic team in the department of Housing and Residential Communities. The Supe Store Student Assistant is responsible for various retail support activities related to an assigned area within the Supply Store. This position is located at our Student Center Store. This position will be responsible for operating a cash register, answering the telephones, serving customers, merchandising products, receiving and stocking merchandise, pulling and processing web orders, and preparing and assisting with Store events.
